Terminals of Hutchison Ports Mexico obtain Certification as an Authorized Economic Operator

HUTCHISON PORTS ICAVE in Veracruz and HUTCHISON PORTS LCT in Lazaro Cárdenas, obtained the certification by the Tax Administration Service (SAT), as an Authorized Economic Operator (OAS), in the Fiscalized Enclosure category.

The Authorized Economic Operator of Mexico, is a voluntary program designed on the basis of the Framework of Standards to Assure and Facilitate Trade (SAFE) of the World Customs Organization and in coordination with the private sector, with the objective of increasing security in the foreign trade supply chain optimizing the international logistics chain and promoting the competitiveness of Mexican companies

In June 2016, the SAT opened this possibility for the Fiscalized Areas, with ICAVE and LCT being the first Maritime Fiscalized Areas to obtain such Authorized Economic Operator (OAS) certification. Through strategies like this, Hutchison Ports and its companies, search to be positioned as a Group committed to safety, giving the authority and its customers, in the handling of their goods.
